The Significance of Diwali  The Diwali or Deepavali festival marks the victory of good over evil. The Sanskrit word “Deepavali” means “an array of lights” and signifies the victory of brightness over darkness.                                                                                                                                                   अमन पापा के साथ अपनी ज्वैलरी की दुकान पर बैठा था तभी एक दीन हीन सा आदमी आया और दुखी स्वर में बोला साहब मुझे पैसों की बहुत जरूरत है, बीबी दवाखाने में है. पचास हजार रुपए अभी जमा कराने हैं ,लेट होगया तो वह मर जाएगी '  ‘इसमें हम तुम्हारी क्या मदद कर सकते हैं ?’           उसने इधर उधर नजर दौड़ाई और बोला मैं बेचने को पत्नी के गहने लाया हूँ...उन्हें खरीद कर आप मेरी मदद कर सकते हैं।’  ‘अरे हम तुम को जानते नहीं, पहचानते नहीं ऐसे गहने हम कैसे खरीद सकते हैं ? तुम अपने किसी पहचान वाले के यहाँ बेच सकते हो या गिरवी रख सकते हो ।' "मैं इलाज के लिए गाँव से शहर आया हूँ ,यहाँ हमें कोई नहीं जानता.. साहब दया करो ।'  "हम ऐसे कैसे खरीद सकते हैं, हमे क्या पता कि यह सोना कितना शुद्ध है' ‘आप जाँच करा ले ‘  पापा ने गहने अंदर लेजा कर उनकी जाँच कराई फिर उनका वजन किया और बाहर आकर बोले – ‘ सोने में बहुत खोट है ,यह हमारे काम का नहीं है।’
